New ATO learning modules for small business owners

Article published on: 02-02-2024

The ATO have launched free learning modules to help small business owners satisfy their tax and super obligations. The courses cover the various stages of running a business including start-up, day-to-day and exit. Some of the topics include paying workers, recording business income and expenses, and satisfying super guarantee obligations.

The learning modules may be useful to help educate your clients who run a small business, as the content includes videos, case studies, audio content and test your knowledge quizzes. The online access may help your small business clients who are time-poor to learn at a convenient time, rather than attend sessions during business hours. The content may also be useful for self-employed advisers to improve their own businesses or to help educate support staff.
