Director ID deadline looming but reprieve for former directors

On 15 November 2022, the Government announced their intention to no longer require a person who is not currently a director of a company but was as at 31 October 2021 to apply for a director ID. Whilst the measure is not yet law, it is a practical outcome that we expect to be implemented.
Existing company directors (including directors of SMSF corporate trustees) who were appointed as directors prior to 31 October 2021 only have until 30 November 2022 to apply for their director ID. More information on the deadline and how to apply for a director ID can be found here. | |
